Despite our best intentions, Stretch, Siren, and I only made it to Troutville, today. We stopped at the Trail Days festival and enjoyed a dessert tasting contest, upon our arrival. Stretch and Siren participated in a hiker Q&A session. We perused the vendor booths and listened to live music. Then, we ate dinner at The Pomegranate.
After dinner, we met up with Outdoor Dog and ate ice cream at the fire department. We spent time in the park, listening to more live music. Then, despite the availability of tent sites, we opted to cowboy camp on some playground equipment, creating our own little fort and falling asleep to a gorgeous view of the stars.
