This morning, the bubble of hikers that stayed at Trimpi Shelter hiked to Partnership Shelter. We took showers and ate Pizza Hut. Then, we lounged in the warm sun.
Around 6:30 PM, Spam's mother picked up our extra gear, and we slack-packed the remaining 12 miles to Atkins, VA. It was a gorgeous night for hiking, warm with clear skies. Armed with our headlamps, we made it to Atkins around 11:30 PM and stayed in a motel near the trail.
