It was a short day of hiking, entering Damascus, VA. Spam and I secured a room at the MRO hostel and met up with other hikers at the Blue Blaze Cafe. The bar was filled with hikers, drinking and conversing late into the night.
Of note, we crossed the Tennessee/Virginia border just prior to entering Damascus, VA. This marked our completion of three states along the Appalachian Trail: Georgia; North Carolina; Tennessee.
